The Particulate Respirator 8233, N100 is well suited for those who want NIOSH's highest rated filtration efficiency in a maintenance free respirator. It provides a minimum filter efficiency of 99.97% against non-oil based particles.

The 8233 provides maximum filter efficiency in a comfortable, durable, maintenance-free design. Protects against arsenic and cadmium in concentrations up to 10 times the OSHA PEL.

The Cool Flow™ Exhalation Valve and the Advanced Electret Media combine to provide cool, easy-breathing comfort. The face seal and two adjustable elastic straps provide a secure, snug fit. NIOSH 42 CFR 84 classification of N100, (99.9% efficient, not resistant to oil).

Additonal Information:

This respirator is an excellent choice for lead abatement, pharmaceutical manufacturing, welding, metal pouring and work involving substance specific particles. It features the 3M Cool Flow Exhalation Valve, comfortable faceseal and adjustable noseclip.

Important:

This mask meets or exceeds the NIOSH N95 standard recommended by both the CDC and WHO for healthcare workers treating SARS. When selecting an N100 respirator, it is important to be aware that a exhalation valve respirator is designed to allow for easy exhalation through a one-way exhalation valve.
If a person is wearing a respirator to reduce his or her exposure to FLU/SARS, a respirator with an exhalation valve would be acceptable.It would not be acceptable for someone to wear a valved respirator if they are a suspected or a probable confirmed case of FLU/SARS, as they would be exhaling Viruses and Germs into the Air.
